Two Olympic medal-winning short track skaters involved in a race-rigging scandal are in danger of having their careers ended after the local sport-governing body imposed a three-year ban on each of them.
The Korea Skating Union (KSU) suspended Lee Jung-su and…agreed but at least they can compete in the next olympics …
No, if they are suspended, you can kiss their careers good bye! Off for three years = career end! They do have opportunity to appeal, but that could just drag this out for much longer! This is unfortunate! Sad day for Korean ST Team!
Their careers aren’t over unless they want them to be. Which would be understandable. They can train and practice for the next three years, they just can’t compete.
Fucking SUCKS. The suspension was only recommended to be one year. That would have been bad enough :/
3 years sucks because of all the races they will not be able to race in. Which usually has some affect on if they go to the Olympics. This really sucks for the Korean ST team.
how does it have an effect on whether or not they will go to the olympics? they’ll get to compete in the 13/14 year and go to the olympic trials …
It isn’t impossible…just highly improbable! With all this hanging over them…doesn’t seem likely! It would be too sad too…
